In the Studebaker Playground

Although i have always been a fan i have been an Avanti virgin. Today i gave it away by taking a ride in the restored to the max beauty. Since i'm still waiting for my new carb ro arrive (hopefull that it will be the end to the ethonal enhanced gas damage) Ol Snort has to sit out the Tucson Studebaker Club wine tasting tour. So rather than me following around in my mini-van i got to ride in this. One just takes the luck where they find it. Anybody got an extra 35k laying around so i can have one of my one send it on.
After a prosctto ham, with baby portabello mushroom and sweet potato fritta on a bed of polenta. It was wine time, so off went the herd on two lane asphalt where once the famous Studebaker wagons roamed. To the remnents and much upadated old frontier town of Elgin, where Buffalo Soldiers from Fort Hauchuca indulged in! Various forms of entertainment in the 1800s. Some entertainment still exist but it's mostly contained in a bottle.

Of course the rest of the group and thier rides were just as worthy as the one i got to ride in, and they ranged in years from 1937 to 1964.

Wineries visted.

All wine consumed was considered sacrmental imbidement due to it being Sunday and it was just a short walk to the little church on the hill for those who felt guilty. None in our party had any angst because after all we were in Studebakers.
