Guam main street and Studebakers

MAIN STREET AGANU GUAM 1954
10 years after liberation from the Japanese, this is what main street Guam looked like. What i like best about this photo is that to the conisuer of fine automobiles there is at least 3 Studebakers in the street two cars and one M series pickup (no i'm not counting that 54 dodge P/U). No telling how many is in the parking lot. I'm still trying to track down the rumored 53 coupe and a picture of the Studebaker dealership. (which was also a gas sation and tourist shop)
Monday is Guams Independence day as they were liberated on July 21st 1944. The preperations have been going on for three weeks. And it will be a big event one i will miss unfortunatly as wwe do not have the day off. Of course i could always oversleep the entire main highway is closed all day.

Happy Birthday!!!! It's crazy having to think a day ahead to "Guam Time." Hope you're having a good one. Take some time to do something fun. I'm planning a "half birthday" cake on your return...still taking offers for who wants to jump out of it! Love and miss you!!!!!!
