Did a few short road trips, and then before i knew it Trukey day was here. Had a great time eating my D-in-laws cooking, couch potatoing in my sons' favorite chair and working on tuning and shining up his 60 studebaker wagon. And then back to the casa to get the Taxi ready for some wood.
The old girls looking kinda bare with her top off. But all will be well in a few months.
Then it was time to end this house mouse mode and go off to the mountains for a four day road trip to Jerome and Prescott. And a visit to the Gold King Mine, Harley Daves, and the Rocket Ranch (a collection of 50 Oldsmobiles) Car Nut heaven.
There was so much stuff to see in the first two, that i overwhelms you. I will have to go back and give each one a full day. I could not convince Harley Dave to let me drive off on one of fifty Cushmans, or any of the other 200 plus motorcycles, scooters, or motor bikes. (seems he also collects firearms). All was well, it was a nice Cruz, no hurry, no drama, just good times with some relaxed people. It all ended with a dinner at the Windmill Ranch Restaurant and laid back journey home.
After a weeks rest and domestics, i got to do one of my favorite things. Prepare some food, in this case i was assigned to do relish trays for the Studebaker Drivers Club of Southern Arizona's Christmas dinner. I'm a little rusty but it all seemed to come out well. Car People good food and Studes in the driveway. I like it.
Now i have nothing to do but wait for my brandied fruit cake, rum butter pound cake, chocosantas, mince meat pie, and some slightly alcohol improved egg nog.
MERRY CHRISTMAS OR WHAT EVER YOU CELEBRATE DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON TO EVERYONE PEACE AND LOVE SMAN
