Now too me the best part of the tour was when i had to interrupt the tour guide because one of our party had too go to work and then catch up with us. Now this woman had been talking non-stop for ten minutes so when i got a call on my phone. She blinked a little but never missed a word, until i bashfully raised my hand and asked her to unlock the door. Whew ear relief. We then moved on to tour some of the historic homes all of which were very well restored. But when it came to stairs i bailed and went to the park where i encountered these tree limb support carvings. I was told by a person in the park after a donation of some pocket change for his morning coffee, that there used to be more but they were stolen by bad people hence the steel cables and locks. When i said "what if some one brings a tree saw and cuts the limb off and takes cable and all" he just smiled.
That done it was off to the beach for a sand and wave review and then down the road and thru the woods to find whatever. Whatever turned out to be following a sign to the Black river landing, which only cost $7.00 and for me an interesting parking lot while the ladies went to see what a walk in the forest would bring. That turned out to be a path to the toilet a gator sign and a view of the sand bar we seen from a bridge. Hey it was a nice drive we're tourist. And the river view was nice and there must not be too many gators in it because people were picnicking on the sandbar.
Then it was off too the town of Milton with stops along the way for antique shop tours, a river walk, munchies, a car show along main street and ice cream cones at the liberty cafe. Then it was off too the motel with a grocery store visit for evening munchies and tales by the pool.
This little caddy in Milton triped my teen memories of my maroon colored one that i crashed on a date. Never got to date that girl again, hey not my fault who wears high heeled shoes to a dance? Sometimes ya got to walk a little ways.
Saturday fun coming up, stay tuned it gets uhhhhh interesting!!!
